Dr Oleksandr V. Prokhorchuk
Dr Oleksandr V. Prokhorchuk is the Head of the Ukrainian Aerial Geodesic Association (Kyiv, Ukraine), Senior researcher at the Scientific and Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography (Kyiv, Ukraine) and the Visiting Professor at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (Kyiv, Ukraine). He is currently heading the Navigation Systems, Attitude Systems, Control Systems, UAS and GIS departments at the most prestigious universities in Ukraine.
His main field of scientific research is currently in inertial navigation systems, satellite navigation systems, integrated navigation systems, geo-information systems and unmanned complexes.

Using his scientific and research background Dr Prokhorchuk, as the team leader of a group of PhD researchers and as the chief technical officer, has designed, developed, and supervised different UAS projects that have been implemented internationally. One of the best European aerial mapping UAS; different mini, medium, and heavy drones designed for civilian, dual-use, and military purposes; other unmanned platforms are among his successfully implemented UAS projects.

Qualifications & Education
In 1996, graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Faculty of Aviation and Space Systems, speciality "Instruments and control systems of aircraft and complexes". Candidate of technical sciences since 2002. Associate professor since 2011. In 2021, graduated from National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Institute of Geodesy, and received a master's degree in "Photogrammetry and remote sensing of the Earth".
Oleksandr is author and co-author more than 100 scientist publications regarding unmanned aerial vehicles, GIS, navigation systems, in particular methodical instructions for studying the courses "Complex navigation systems", "Theory and modern methods of automatic control", "Aerohydrogasdynamics and theory of flight aircraft", "Fundamentals of the structure of aircraft control systems-3. Control systems of rockets and space vehicles" for students, etc.

Honorary award of the Scientific Council of NTUU "KPI" for significant contribution to the development of the university, strengthening its national and international authority, and training highly qualified specialists.
